Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
The kurabito (brewery workers) at Aramasa press this sake while listening to the temple bells that ring out on New Year's Eve, and it ships on New Year's Day: 'Aramasa Shinnen Junmai Shiboritate 2024,' commonly known as the 'Eto Bottle' (zodiac bottle). This time, the design is themed around chinowa-kuguri, the purification ritual performed to ward off misfortune, styled around the dragon, this year's zodiac animal. With nuances of lychee, white peach, and mint, it's a light, youthful flavour where bitterness and acidity form the core, with sweetness and creaminess nestled alongside.
