新政 特別頒布会第三弾のテーマは「麹菌」。C-typeは、紹興酒で使用されるクモノスカビを用いて製麹を行った実験酒。クモノスカビは蒸し米での繁殖が難しく、生米を使ったと記されており、醸造工程は試行錯誤、暗中模索だった模様。味わいはやや単調だが、鼻腔をくすぐる謎の香りがある。
