Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
“Kakushin”, the new-sake version of “Honmaru”, Juyondai's signature bottling. Unlike the standard Honmaru, this one is a junmai nama. A floral fruit aroma and a fresh, mint-like top note, and one sip bursts open with rich sweetness and refreshing acidity all at once. Towards the second half, a juicy sweetness like biting into a pear and the gentle umami of rice spread out, and a gentle finish carries on. True to a junmai, the explosive power of the first impression is high, and the finish closes more gently than the standard Honmaru.
