Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
From the ultimate sake series of Kokuryu, a long-established brewery representing Fukui Prefecture, here we introduce Hachijuhachigo, a mysterious premium sake. It's named after the legacy of brewing competition-entry sake in vat "No. 88." Sweetness, umami and acidity come through in good balance. The flavour peaks right after you drink it and then fades out gently, but a faint aftertaste lingers on for a long time.
