From 'No.6,' the series expressing the appeal of Kyokai No. 6 yeast, we introduce the 2022 vintage of the R-type, its standard model. In the 2022 vintage, brewing partway shifted entirely to kioke shikomi (brewed in wooden vats), making this an early lot brewed in temperature-controlled tanks — rare, in a sense. A fresh green-apple aroma with a mint nuance gives a refreshing impression. Acidity forms the core, with faint sweetness and umami nestled alongside it, tasting like a plum wine made from freshly picked green plums.
