Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
The third release in Hananoka Shuzo's new brand, Ubusuna. The rice used is Homase, a premium rice grown in Higo during the Edo period. It was lost to time, but in recent years it was revived from a mere 40 surviving grains. A clean, gentle drinking impression stands out. A fresh, juicy fruit aroma carries a well-balanced sweetness, acidity, and richness, and a light effervescence with a faint bitterness ties the finish together.
