Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
"Tangerine" is a sake that revives Fukunohana for the present day — a rice once grown widely across all of Akita Prefecture, but which faded away over time. It was first unveiled several years ago, and finally went on general sale starting in 2024, though that doesn't mean it's easy to get hold of. A flavour woven from fresh sweetness and gentle acidity plays like an all-star citrus cocktail of mandarin, orange, and grapefruit.
