Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
Introducing the 2023 vintage of Murasakiyata, one of the most notoriously hard-to-find bottles even within Aramasa Shuzo's 'Private Lab' series. It's the ultra-rare slot in a set sold via UTAGE, where two bottles arrive at random from the breweries that belong to it. It's a saishikomi kijoshu (sake brewed with sake) made using last year's Murasakiyata, with a fresh sweet-tartness reminiscent of Hinotori, along with a complex aged aroma and richness — a one-of-a-kind flavour.
