Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
Hiroki, whose bottles are usually pasteurised, releases this "Tokubetsu Junmai muroka nama genshu (unfiltered, unpasteurised, undiluted)" only in December. This muroka nama genshu is the very sake that shot Hiroki's name to fame overnight. A showy aroma of melon and apple, and the moment you take a sip, umami and sweetness explode — you know instantly it's delicious. Unlike other Hiroki releases, the flavour's arc is short, and after a clean-ending aftertaste, a warmth from the alcohol remains.
