Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
A nigorizake (cloudy sake) to drink in the new-sake season. This time, from "Kankiku," Chiba's celebrated brand, here's "OCEAN99 Hakuginkai." The aroma carries notes of grated apple, fully ripened banana, and fresh cream. One sip reveals a beautifully balanced harmony of refreshing sweetness and gentle acidity, with a short aftertaste that fades away cleanly. It carries the mellow smoothness typical of nigorizake while also achieving the lightness of a clear sake.
