Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
A high-grade sake that "Kokuryu," the brewery representing Fukui Prefecture, releases twice a year. This bottle uses the finest-grade Yamadanishiki, lavishly polished, and pressed slowly by the fukurozuri (hung-bag drip pressing) shizukudori method. A delicate, sweet peach-like aroma with refreshing nuances of lemongrass and mint. With added brewer's alcohol, the flavour spreads with a powerful, expansive body, and along with the alcohol's dryness, it quietly plays out a beautiful aftertaste.
