Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
From Hanaabi, a brand highly praised for its fruity sake, here's the muroka nama genshu (unfiltered, unpasteurised, undiluted) released from November through March. This is the flagship bottle, made with the Miyamanishiki rice that Nanyo Shuzo handles so well. A tropical-fruit fragrance fills your nose, and a fresh sweetness rushes into your mouth. For this quality, the price is a steal. Don't be afraid to buy the 1.8-litre bottle either — before you know it, it'll be empty.
