Among the closest shapes (at most one axis off by one step), ordered by score. Re-reviews of the same sake are excluded and each brewery appears once. Where fewer than four qualify, the next closest shapes fill the gap.
From Hiroki, the celebrated sake of Fukushima, we introduce 'Kasumizake Hatsushibori' — kasumizake meaning a hazy new sake, and hatsushibori meaning first press — the new-season release sold only once a year, right after brewing. Tilt the glass and ripe, glamorous aromas of banana, pineapple, and melon set your heart racing. The flavour is restrained in sweetness. A faint trace of sediment (ori) brings an umami that seeps in slowly — an unassuming gem of a bottle.
